Fantastic hosts go above and beyond. The spacious room wasvery comfy and tidy, complete with a good selection of teas and even hot chocolate. The breakfast room offered lovely local dishes, but bring earplugs, as the location can be noisy at times. Having parking available is a major plus in this busy area.

Just a well-suited match for a passing visit in York with good value for price. The bed was really comfy and nice fresh linen. Choose a room away from the street if noise bothers you.

My room was spacious and cozy, with a nice en suite bathroom. It was well-decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was a bit cramped, but overall it felt homely and had a great tea and coffee selection with biscuits. Being near the busy road meant I'd hear the traffic and some revelers at night, especially on weekends.

Perfect Stay in an Amazing Location!
The location couldn't be better, just a short walk to the Minster and surrounded by lovely cafes and shops. Mark and Joyce provided a warm welcome and the breakfast options were excellent and well-cooked. The only downside was that the parking space was a bit tight, but Mark was very helpful in guiding us through that.

Gillygate Guest House offered a good experience during my stay. The location made exploring York's rich history effortless, while the hosts provided valuable local insights. The only downside was the inadequate water pressure in the shower, but the overall charm of the guest house made it worthwhile.
